ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Since first acquiring a taste for the local music scene at the age of 15, Curtis Perrin
has certainly had his share of opportunities and successes. Still, he continues his drive
to gain even more experience in an attempt to quench his creative thirst.
Curtis's performing career began with that of DOLLHOUSE, a five piece rock band based out of
CBS, NL. During that time, DOLLHOUSE was showcased at the 2001 MIANL Conference and was
also the winner of the Provincial Battle of the Bands that same year.
The event was held in Stephenville, NL and had coverage on NTV.
In 2004, Curtis helped found the pop rock group named MAGNOLIA, fronted by Judith Morrissey.
It was with this band he began to utilize his song writing ability as he and Judith both
brought original material to the project. During its six month existence, MAGNOLIA was
profiled in the 2004 boxing day edition of the INDEPENDENT, performed on ROGERS Out of the
Fog, publicized in the Evening Telegram and the Newfoundland HERALD, showcased the 2004 MIANL
Conference and performed at CLUB ONE.
Back in 2002, Curtis graduated from the College of the North Atlantic in Stephenville, with
a diploma in RECORDING ARTS. During his 2 years of education with top-notch instructors, he
worked on the side as a sound designer/engineer for the Bay ST. George Theater group and the
Stargazer Youth Theater group. One of the productions was taken on the road to Grand
Falls/Windsor for the 2001 Provincial Drama Festival at their Arts & Culture Center. Since
completing the Recording Arts program, Curtis has produced and recorded numerous local talented
artists/bands and has worked with them to refine their music to make professional tracks with
loads of hit radio potential. He also continues to work on his own material for an eventual
solo album. Curtis currently owns and operates JeT SeT StudiO in CBS. |
